Waiting on a War is a real slow burn. It starts out pretty chill – sounding like a ‘Skin and Bones’ era strum-fest. But then it starts to build, and build, and speed up, and then it hits you!
This is emphasised even more in this live version – the ramp-up is more intense and punctuated by an even more impressive fill (than normal) from Taylor Hawkins. And then as soon as it gets big it is over – leaving you wanting more.
